How do Titathink cameras work with third party software Blue Iris

    Some people use third-party software to manage their cameras and record. In the article, we will guide you through how Titathink cameras work with the third-party software Blue Iris.  Blue Iris is a Webcam and video with security software.

    1, Prepare a free computer for Blue Iris, and connect it to same local network with titathink camera.

    a, Download Blue Iris from their website  ‘ http://blueirissoftware.com/download/ ‘, and install into your computer. Then run it.

    b, In this window, click the camera icon to add Titathink camera to Blue Iris.

    c, In this editing window, Blue Iris requires you to fill in Titathink camera video stream information.

    [ Http:// ] Enter The camera’s IP address
    [User name] the camera’s user name
    [Password] the camera’s password
    [Make] Here we select “ Generic “
    [Model] Here we select “ RTSP H.264/MJPG/MPEG4 ”
    [Media/video/RTSP port] Enter The camera’s IP port.
    [Path] Enter the camera video stream Path

    2, How to enter the camera information to Blue Iris.

    d, Get the Titathink camera information by accessing the camera “Web setting page”. Install the PC software “CameraLive” on  to your PC. You can find the CameraLive in the provided CD or download it from the Titathink Website https://support.titathink.com/knowledge-base/camera-live-software.

    e, Run the Camera Live on your PC and click here to enter the web application page of the camera.

    f, After you enter in the web applicaton page, pls select “Camera” –> ” Stream Setup “.  There are three streams to choose from: Primary stream; Secondary stream;  and Mobile stream. For the best image quality, choose quality image Primary stream by clicking on “Primary stream”.

    Titathink-Blue-iris7g,  On this page, you will see all types of Primary Stream address and path.

    The top part of the list is Primary Stream Local area network URL, the bottom of the list is Primary Stream Internet URL. So if your Blue Iris PC and your camera are in the same local network, you should use the Primary Stream local area network URL. If your Blue Iris PC and your camera are not in the same local network, and you want  Blue Iris to access your camera, you should use the Primary Stream Internet URL.

    (Explanatory notes: Our camera can encode the video stream with H.264, MPEG4, MJPEG or M3U8 format.

    In the primary stream list it shows you all the video stream type formats. In these formats we recommend RTSP H.264 stream, since it can transmit the best quality image with small-data and low bandwidth, it’s the most economic and efficient encoding method.

    If your Blue Iris PC and your camera are in the same local area network, we will show you how to use the Primary Stream local area network URL to add the camera to Blue Iris.

    For example: choose “RTSP H.264 stream” for Blue Iris. The RTSP H.264 stream local network URL is “rtsp://192.168.1.103:80/live/0/h264.sdp”. So in the Blue Iris Network IP camera configuration page:

    1, The [ http:// ] should be filled in the RTSP H.264 stream , URL IP address:          [ http:// ] 192.168.1.103:80
    2, The [Path] should be filled in the RTSP H.264 stream path,                                    [Path] /live/0/h.264.sdp
    3, The [Media/video/RTSP port] should be filled in RTSP H.264 stream URL IP port.  [Media/video/RTSP port] 80
    4, The [Make] Here we select  Generic from the drop down menu
    5,  [Model] Here we select  RTSP H.264/MJPG/MPEG4 
    6, [ User ] admin  [ password ] admin  ( the user and the password that was filled in is the camera factory default value admin, if you have changed the password, the password should be your password )

    If your Blue Iris PC and your camera are not in same local network, and you want Blue Iris to access your camera, you should use the Primary Stream Internet URL.

    For example, choose “RTSP H.264 stream” for Blue Iris. The RTSP H.264 stream internet URL is “rtsp://183.27.124.141:8152/live/0/h264.sdp” So in Blue Iris Network IP camera configuration page:
    1, The [ http:// ] should be filled in the RTSP H.264 stream URL ip address.          [ http:// ] 183.27.124.141:8152
    2, The [Path] should be filled in the RTSP H.264 stream path.                                  [Path] /live/0/h.264.sdp
    3, The [Media/video/RTSP port] should be filled in RTSP H.264 stream URL IP port. [Media/video/RTSP port] 8152
    4, [Make] Here we select Generic from the drop down menu
    5, [Model] select  RTSP H.264/MJPG/MPEG4 
    6, [ User ] admin  [ password ] admin  ( the user and the password that was filled in is the camera factory default value admin, if you have changed the password, the password should be your password )

    (Pls note: if you want to use Blue Iris to access your camera via internet, pls note that The IP address of your broadband, most of broadband provider not provide static internet IP address to their customer, it means that the camera’s internet IP address can be changed by the broadband provider. Once the camera Internet IP address is changed, you will have to set Blue Iris again )

    h, Then click on” ok ”, the camera video will show in your Blue Iris.
