    Thank you for checking with us. My name is Barry, I’m glad to answer your question.

    The reason of why the camera requires an email password is that the camera need an email box as the email sender, due to the camera doesn’t have a cloud server, it can not directly send emails to your email box. Depending on this case, the camera requires user to provide an existing email as sender email. The password you entered to the app is just only recorded onto the configuration file which is on your phone. The information of your email username/password will not be passed to the P2P server, so nobody can know your password and username but yourself. If your email account is binded to your social account/credit card, you can register a new Gmail account then use this new email account as the sender email of the app. Other cameras that never require you to enter the information of sender email, they should have cloud server and maybe request a little cost. The camera provides app pushing notification, it can alert you via app as the camera senses motion.
